What Is the Mystical Path of the Heart?
With the Christian mystics and neo-Platonists such as St. Bonaventure it sees all reality as ultimately reconciled to God “in Christ”. This “new creation” and “mystical union of all things in Christ” reconciles such dualities as transcendence and immanence, heaven and earth, contemplation and action, word and spirit, law and grace, eternity and time, freedom and necessity, north and south, east and west, beauty and truth, goodness and love.
It is an inter-spiritual approach that celebrates wisdom springing from global faiths, world cultures, rational knowledge and contemplative practice.
“It envisions a new kind of human society that is broadly global, pluralistic, relational and inclusive of multiple perspectives, religions, cultures and ideas. At the heart of the mystical path is the realization that greater than religion is God; more profound than words is Silence; deeper than division and conflict is Mercy and Peace.”
