how philosophy can save your lifeThis SOU student group will be reading and discussing How Philosophy Can Save Your Life: 10 Ideas That Matter Most by Marietta McCarty.

The author invites us to draw upon the insights and ideas of various philosophers along with the resources of music, poetry, prose, drama and documentary as we discuss the ideas of Simplicity, Communication, Perspective, Flexibility, Empathy, Individuality, Belonging, Serenity, Possibility and Joy. We will consider other “ideas that matter” as well as we explore the quest for meaning and fulfillment.

Wednesdays, 3pm-3:50pm; starts Feb 3rd, continues through Winter & Spring Quarters.
